3 Stars Serves it purposes but scratches easily
It serves it purposes but scratches easily. I bought several so I could change them out when they got so scratched you couldn’t see through them.

It is important that the Nikon camera have protection from scratches. This item fits our camera perfectly.
5 Stars Essential protection and a way to preserve resale value
Although this came with my new D300, things happen. I had the original for around 16 months before mine got a crack that was substantial to warrant replacing. Thankfully it was this plastic LCD protector that took the mpact and not the LCD itself. When I think of all the scratches and dings this protector endured, I hate to imagine not having had the protector and seeing all these scratches on my actual LCD. If I didn’t have it, just imagine how those permanent marks on my D300’s LCD would lower my eventual resale price when I sell this! So just having this is an investment in preserving some sense of resale value in a commodity (DSLR) that depreciates rather quickly. But the bottom line is, I don’t want to damage my camera body either as a result of an accident or normal wear and tear. This LCD protector does a great job of protecting the LCD! I love having it! 5 stars!
1 Star Maybe worse than nothing at all
While on a recent trip to southern Utah with my new D90, a small piece of sand – there’s lots of it down there – slipped in between the cover and the screen. I finally noticed it when there was a 1 inch long deep scratch from the sand working between the screen and the “protector” on my otherwise pristine camera. Buy the Giotto cover for $30 and be done with it. It is sealed all the way around unlike the Nikon cover. I learned this lesson the hard way.
