5 Stars Great Purchase for Beginners or Intermediate Level Photographers
There is plenty of learning material on the Nikon D5000 in this Nikon School DVD. The instructor is patient, speaks clearly, comes across being very friendly and informative, and you can see his passion for photography by the way he talks about photography. At first, I thought I saw this movie and paid for a DVD which was a free video download from the Nikon website. The first couple of scenes are free on the Nikon website, the rest of the DVD is not. Even the free scenes have extended footage on the DVD only. I would recommend to watch the movie several times to really absorb the material – I could feel my brain getting full about half-way through the video and decided to split it up over two days and to give myself a chance to practice what I saw. There are plenty of practical examples in the video too, once you watch the entire video, you can just skip to the section you care to watch again through the menu. This video has become a useful reference for me.
4 Stars Very good start
I am not new to digital photography nor am I new to SLR photography but I am new to digital SLR photography. This DVD is a nice start on using the Nikon D5000. The DVD gets you using the camera and then begin to flesh the incredible features. I highly recommend it.
5 Stars An excellent tutorial on digitsal photography
Although this cd is for the Nikon D5000, it is an excellent tutorial on digital photography in general.

5 Stars Just Right
The camera bag is “just right” for the camera and two lens plus the SB-400 light and battery charger. Every thing fits perfect with miminal room to spare. Light weight to carry and well constructed. Needless to say, there is no room for growth of extra items if desired.
3 Stars TOO SMALL
GREAT BAG IF YOU JUST WANT THE CAMERA AND 1 LENS ATTACHED, FIT MY D60 BUT I HAVE 3 LENSES AND DOESNT FIT EVEN 1, SB-400 FLASH DOESENT FIT EITHER GET A TAMRAC BAG THERE GREAT
3 Stars Great little Nikon DSLR Bag
Great little bag. I didn’t know it was gonna have extra pockets on the side and a zippered net on the inside. You can adjust and move some of the foam walls within to your preferences. Its not a big bag at all so don’t plan to fit more than 2 lenses in there. Nothing special but it better than nothing. I’d recommend this for any beginning SLR user.
5 Stars Great D40 Bag
This bag is nearly perfect…not too big, not too small. Holds the D40 with the 18-55, stores the 55-200VR and has a slot left for a flash. Only nitpick is that the camera slot is a little bit of a “stuff” job when the 55-200 is mounted. Also has some storage slots for battery, SD cards, etc. DVD is nice bonus.
4 Stars Good camera bag. DVD extremely basic
The bag is good enough for multiple lenses. If you plan to just keep the kit lens or some other single lens, look for a smaller bag.
The DVD is very basic and teaches the first few steps… If you have used any SLR for even a week, you wouldnt want to waste time watching the contents of it.
