5 Stars Well built. Does the job perfect
As most photographer experienced one time or more : losing the lens cap. I lost mine when I was shooting an outdoor group activity. It’s exactly same as the factory one, well built, solid. And it’s cheap! 5 stars!
3 Stars rear lens cap rip-off
again canon seems to like to charge a little more for their plastic. no need to pay 6-10 bucks. just go get an off brand rear lens cap. sure it doesn’t say canon on it, but I am sure it will protect your rear lens just the same.
4 Stars A necessary evil… and a godsend…
I always take an extra one of these (and all my lens/body caps) with me wherever I go just in case I lose one on the road. You can of course get an off-brand cap for a little bit cheaper, but they are sometimes harder to find for some reason. You can find Adorama’s version by looking for “Adorama Rear Lens Cap for Canon EOS Lens Mount.” (including the period (’.') symbol). But I’m sure a lot of people want to stay in house to ensure that their very expensive lens is very protected. However, I can’t truly speak to the off-brand lens caps because I don’t have any. All I have are a couple Bower caps that came with some of their lens filters, which aren’t as sturdy as Canon’s. So I think for many the branded caps are a necessary evil (price-wise) and a godsend (functionally). There is just one gripe I have in particular with the rear lens cap: it is very loosely attached. That is, it stops threading after just a slight turn, and thus comes off almost as easily. I know that this is a result of the lens design, but I would think that canon would have designed a simple system of ensuring that your rear lens cap will stay on even if bumped ever so slightly, like indentations on the lens joint that would be filled by plastic bumps on the cap and thus not affect the lens/camera joint.
5 Stars Fit perfectly
Needed this cap for months. Bought it and works/fits perfectly with my Canon EOS 20D and its lenses.
5 Stars Must have for lens protection
Like others, I lost mine while shooting and needed a solid replacement that matched the original. This is it. It’s a bit pricey, but nothing compared to the glass you are protecting. Very pleased.

5 Stars Useful as a lid and not only
If you frequently swap lenses and have a lot of gear to carry in a backpack and prefer to transport your camera bodies without attached lenses, get some spare body mount caps because they might prove invaluable in some conditions. The plastic is well finished and very well manufactured and fits well into the mount for perfect protection.
Another thing you might consider is using this baby as a pinhole device support if you intend to explore a bit this area of creative photography, which, believe me, is full of fun.
5 Stars Small, but important
Small part, but I buy them to have the right fitting on my lenses, often bought used. Good vendors carry smaller items like these.
5 Stars Put this in your hole
This awesomely fits right in the hole in my camera, plugged to perfection. That’s just they ways I likes it, baby!
1 Star Nikon Ripoff
I’m sure this is a fine product, but at ten bucks a pop? It’s just another hunk of overpriced Nikon plastic. Do not buy your camera accessories from these bandits! You can get them much more cheaply on eBay.
5 Stars It is what it is.
This is exactly what it advertises. It helps protect your mirror when you take your lenses off.

5 Stars GREAT Lens
I did my research on this lens from the day it was in talk of coming out. When it came out, daily I would look for reviews because I was planning to get the 12-24mm f/4. Manjority of the reviews were my amatuers or hobbyist (spell check).
In summary, they didnt know how to use a wide lens (that is the many problem for anyone that can’t use anything from 8mm-35mm). Other say the construction of the lens differ. Well that is true but for people that take care of their lens and not looking to drop it, you would be fine but still that reeason this dumb.
Here is my professional summary from a professional photographer. I brought this lens to complete my “all purpose travel kit”…lol. I have the 10-24, 24-70, and 70-300. What else do you need. besides for Nikon to come out with a lens that shoot 10-24 at 2.8 and lower.
For now with that, you can just invest in the 12-24mm f/2.8 if you can. I dont have that lens yet but soon I will but I dont really need it now with this 10-24.
People would say “what about low light?” I would say use a flash. Others would say “what about situations in which you can’t use a flash?” I would say use primes because with primes you can get f 2.8 to 1.4 autofocus and the results are great. I have a few primes and I am not selling them.
Anyways, 10-24mm….great investment. I shoot models with it, landscape, and soon other things. Great investment and it’s SHARP.
In final, If you know how to use a wide angle…..using this super wide lens will be a walk in the park. If you don’t, learn or ask a real professional the main reasons for wide etc.
5 Stars Pay the extra $ and get the Nikon over the Tokina
Why would I sacrifice the quality, accuracy and reliability and get an off brand? If you plan on keeping your camera for several years stay with Nikon. This is a great lens and the Tokina won’t be as sharp, reliable or accurate. My philosophy is to get the best I can and after some bad experiences with non Nikon brands I am just going to try my best to stick with Nikon since I have a Nikon camera. It will pay for itself after a year or two.
5 Stars This one is the best.
I read everything I could about wide zooms FX and DX. For DX, this one is the best. I bought it for a photo safari to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Canada, and another to Big Bend National Park.
The Tokina may be a good lens, but the zoom range is very limited. At 11mm by 16mm the Nikon is at least as good plus you still have range to use. That makes the Nikkor a no brainer.
10mm (15mm equivalent) is very, very wide.
Yahooooo!
5 Stars Sharp wide angle
I find the lense very usable. It’s a very fun lense at the 10mm length.
5 Stars Good WA range, nice weight, sharp
My husband purchased this lens from Amazon because of good service I received in the past. It is available from other online sources for slightly less. He reports that the lens arrived a day earlier than expected (thank you) and has been used for interior and exterior shots. On a d90, the built-in flash works from about 19 to 24 mm without lens shading. It focuses fast, balances well with the d90, and the pictures are sharp and have good contrast. At the 10 mm end, it gives great angle of view, with expected barrel distortion. Got sharper stopped down to f8. Distortion fades up to 15 mm and from there to 24 mm, it is a sharp lens for family and outdoor shots. This will be his main d90 lens. He was considering the Nikkor 12-24, but wanted the extra WA, considered the Tokina 11-16, but again wanted the extra WA and had concerns about availability and QC issues. Wishes there was more technical test data, but he needed a good WA lens now for upcoming vacations and is happy with this choice. Says Nikon has never failed him and Amazon was solid.

5 Stars great bag
I really like this bag; usually i carry my E-5xx with the 40-150mm mounted, and the 14-42mm, still i have space for a flash, a mini tripod, three filters, the caps of the lens and camera, three extra batteries, sun blocker, and more if i want. I have it with me all the time when i’m shooting outdoors, it doesn’t bother me. Just think three lenses don’t feat in this bag, so don’t expect to carry all your gear here.
4 Stars Good Product
Good product, small but it holds my E-520 with 50mm F2.0 Macro lens attached and two kit lenses, 14-42mm and 40-150mm. the pockets hold lens cap and CF media. Has a good build quality. For the price it is a good buy.
5 Stars Great price
I use this with my Pantex DSLR. It fit all I have.
1. Camera body with 18-55mm lens attached.
2. 50 mm fixed lens.
3. 50-200 mm lens.
4. Len hood.
5. Battery charger.
I also put some sd card and data link in the front pocket.
4 Stars Great bag but, a bit small
I do like this bag but, I feel like I will outgrow fairly quick. It is great if you want to tote around the camera and 2 lenses but, this wont fit much more. It fits memory card, extra battery, a cleaning kit but, that’s about it. If you have an external flash and remotes and other things it wont fit. I even feel 2 lenses it’s a little jammed in there. So, might have to get a larger one later on. It’s great if you are going to travel though and for the price I think it is still useful!
5 Stars Olympus Evolt Camera Bag
The bag was exactly as advertised…. small, but perfect for travel. The compartment holds the camera plus 2 lens, charger, USB cable, etc. There is an adjustable shoulder strap in addition to a hand held strap (carry it like a purse). Quite functional and secure with 2 snap locks. Would definitely recommend.
Zeikos ZE LCH1 Lens Cap Keeper

5 Stars Well worth $5.86….
This is worth $5.86. Use it, don’t abuse it and it will serve you well.
5 Stars Saves my Lense Cap Everytime
Others have had problems but mine works like a charm…this product has saved me so much time….before i would have to remove the cap then find a place to put it: like my pocket, my shirt pocket, my jacket pocket, or just leaved it in my hand….and ever since i bought this i just remove the cap and LET IT HANG…love it….
1 Star Fell Apart Just Putting It On The Lens
Purchased two of these and the first one fell apart just putting it on the lens. Was trying to figure out the best place to position the strap when the elastic just unravelled! Had to be extra careful attaching the second one. Tried it once and so far so good but should have bought a better one in the first place. Don’t buy this junk
1 Star Do not buy
I would not buy this product again nor would I recommend it. It peeled off the adhesive about a day after I adhered it to my lens.
1 Star Would not recommend
Bought this lens cap keeper less than four months ago, it has fallen apart.
The adhesive no longer sticks, the string has broken.
The lens keeper I have for my old Nikormat has lasted 30 years, they just don’t make them like they use too.
I would not recommend this product at any price.
