5 Stars Great travel tripod!
I love this little guy! I take it with me everywhere I take my Nikon D5000! It’s a quick way to stabilize your camera in a hurry without lugging around a full size tripod.
1 Star Make sure your camera isn’t too heavy!
We purchased this tripod for out Nikon D5000 fitted with a 18-200mm lens. The weight of the lens was too heavy for this particular tripod, causing the entire camera/tripod unit to keel over. Luckily, we tested it out on a table top at home rather than out in the field. We did not notice any weight/lens restriction in the packaging or amazon description which might have warned us about this.
5 Stars Great tripod. Make sure you choose the right one for your type of camera.
I don’t agree with the negative review about this tripod, because the wrong size was chosen by the buyer. There are different sizes of Gorillapods for different sizes of cameras and lenses. This one is specified for smaller cameras, and for that purpose it works great (at least for me it does). My advice: before you buy andy Gorillapod, check on Joby’s website which one’s right for the type of camera and lens you have, and then you can come back to buy it cheaper @ Amazon.
3 Stars Strong enough for a DLSR my ACE!!
Sorry, but this is a joke. Please don’t label something DSLR capable when it’s barely strong enough to hold a super zoom camera.
Maybe I got a poor copy, but if I didn’t, don’t expect much out of yours.
I LOVE the idea, I have other Gorillapods for standard size cameras and they are exceptional. I LOVE the quick release and the level that comes standard.
This thing can’t hold my canon 5d mark II with a tiny 50mm lens.
Sorry, but that’s disappointing!
I’m not returning it because it works well for so many other things.

5 Stars Camera Lens – Wonderful
I really really loved this lens. It works perfectly with my camera and has allowed me to take AWESOME pictures. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful camera lens. Might I add, the delivery was quick and the price…very affordable.
5 Stars Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor SLR Camera Lens
I purchased this lens on 06/26/2009 and received very quickly and from the moment I started using it, it has become one of my favorite lenses. It seems to be very fast and the pictures look great.
I have used it for sporting events, weddings and a few beach photos. Its a great lens but the only thing about it is you have to slide the barrel back and forth to change the focal length, but other that I love it.
5 Stars Nice Lens
I’ve used this lens for a week with my D90. I shoot wildlife and nature. Autofocus is fast and solid. Focus ring is smooth, zoom ring has one snug spot. At this length I’m not worried if flash works at all. I have uploaded several pictures that out of the camera could not be improved!
4 Stars Nikon 70-300mm AF non VR
It is a very wonderful lens. I wanted to get the 70-300mm VR but after purchasing this one, I will say I am satisfied and will not be getting the other one. I take so many great pictures with it on my Nikon D5000. I would recommend it to everyone shooting outdoors. It is not the best lens for indoor pictures. The zoom works so well.
5 Stars Inexpensive quality lens
this is an inexpensive and quality zoom lens. It is amazing to me that I ordered it and the following day it arrived. This lens does need a fair amount of light but it was bought for outdoors shooting. A good product.

5 Stars Great lens hood
There isn’t a lot to say about a hood… either it does what it needs to or it doesn’t.
This hood does what it is designed to do. I haven’t had to deal with a single lens flare in a picture and I do a lot of high light outside photography. Also, the hood is small which I appreciate, it doesn’t make the lens feel too long and cumbersome.
I would definitely purchase this hood again if I lost or broke my original.
5 Stars Does not come off my lens
I love this hood so much that I don’t bother with the lens cap. I bought a knockoff hood prior to this purchase and its totally not the same. The velvet flocking on the inside of the hood is great for collecting dust that would normally go unto the lens.
4 Stars Great Product, Great Design, Good Build Quality
PROS
====
1. Fits the EF 50mm F1.4 perfectly!
2. Fits on reverse for storage
3. Made of High quality plastic
4. Has a felt lining inside…nice touch
CONS
====
1. TOO much money! Probably cost Canon $5 to produce this.
Conclusion
==========
This product is fantastic. Did I pay too much for it? Maybe, but I’m not upset considering what it accomplishes and the fact that I’m potentially protecting my $400 lens should it be dropped.
In short, I paid $30 on the Canon Brand ($10-15 too much) to make sure that it fits properly and lasts for the life of the lens.
Well worth it…I would have given 5 stars if this cost under $20 like it should!
2 Stars Canon Lens Hood
This product is over priced. I would recommend that you purchase a Lens Hood from a secondary market manufacturer.
4 Stars Better then expected
Like many of you, I looked all over the internet in order to find a hood for my 50mm 1.4. As you all know, they range in price by a lot. I finally broke down and decided to get the canon brand, which was also the most expensive. The whole time I was thinking to myself, why am I paying 30 bucks for a piece of plastic. I must say that when I got the hood, I was mildly surprised that it wasn’t just a formed piece of plastic. The inside is lined with felt and the construction feels good. Now is it worth the 30 bucks? Well, maybe not quite, that is why I gave it 4 stars. However I was impressed that it does look and feel in person more then what I’d imagine I’d get if I bought the 10 dollar generic one. I have it on my lens and it looks great and helps to protect the lens too.
