5 Stars Amazing capabilities and power for the money!
The product description above, and all the other reviews below cover every detail of this flash’s capabilities, so I won’t repeat them.
I just wanted to come on here and add my statment that I simply love, love, love this easy to use yet powerful flash.
I have shot three weddings using this mounted to my camera, two on a D70s and the latest on my new D90. The brides all LOVED the photos.
The later two weddings I used the SB-600 for, I had the Sto-Fen Omnibounce mounted on the flash the whole time. I hardly ever take the Omnibounce off any more, it improves flash photos so much, and it makes fill flashing outdoors a breeze. Bride’s skin tones simply glow with the Omnibounce on the SB-600.
Yeah, I’d have loved to have had the cash to spring for the top-of-the-line, but I am glad I didn’t. The only possible reason I would ever upgrade from this was if I became a full-time pro and wanted the extra power just in case. I’d never use the multiple flash idea, I much prefer Novatron light sets for multi-light situations.
This SB-600 has done everything from snapshots of family around home, fill flash outdoors, to group get-togethers at church, to formal wedding photography with nary a hitch.
Unless you need a gamma-ray burst like the SB-800 and 900s put out, this SB-600 will satisfy you, I promise. (Y’all know I’m just kidding about the bigger flash putting out gamma-rays, right? GR’s will kill ya.)
4 Stars SB-600 Speedlight Flash
Good product; effective lighting of scenes under various difficult situations. It is a bit heavy for my Nikon D60, and I wish some prior recommendations had been published on this. It makes the camera top heavy, and difficult to carry from the shoulder strap without having to hold on to the camera.
1 Star Good Product Bad Business Practice
I just received this product last night. I ordered it using free shipping and received it within 3 workdays which was fantastic. The product is also great as are the images I’ve been able to produce with my D90.
The low score has nothing to do with the product itself but the fact that I received a USED or REFURBISHED product!
I have plenty of experience purchasing products online and electronics themselves and there are visible, obvious signs of use. The plastic wrapping is not quite pristine, the scuff marks, the miscellaneous prints on the glossy plastic parts and worse yet, strange miscellaneous gunk marks.
Nothing was sealed, there was physical folding damage to the manuals and scratches on the hot shoe. Obvious signs of use.
I normally get great service from Amazon directly, this was a severe disappointment. It may have only been used for a short while but with products like these and a set life span, it is unfair to charge me full price for something that is billed as new.
I will be returning it, hopefully for a full refund or NEW replacement.
5 Stars Changes the way I take photos
Having a bright light source off-camera instead of built in really changes the way you take photos. I use my SB-600 wirelessly in tandem with my D80 and it can improve nearly any situation.
I’d say one of the only downsides is the lack of control buttons, most of the options you have to hold down multiple buttons at once to access them.
The SB-600 itself syncs great, is reliable, and nice and bright. It rotates in 180 degrees in one direction and 90 degrees in another (do you need more?)
5 Stars Very happy
After reading the reviews for the sb-900 and how the over heat sensors were too sensitive on them I decided to go with the sb-600 for that reason. I will just have to be carefull not to burn out the flash.
Nikon MB D10 Multi Power Battery Pack for Nikon D300 and D700 Digital SLR Cameras

MBD 10 For NIkon D300 Digital Camera includes MS-D10EN for use with EN-EL3e battery (sold separately)

5 Stars Nikon MB-D10 Review
I love it. Great quality from Nikon as always. I love the option to change battery types (I use the EN-EL3e) and also like the option to shoot in the vertical orientation as it has the shutter release button, 2 dials like on the camera and the thumb wheel (the thumb wheel is kind of small for my taste). It doesn’t add as much weight to the camera as I originally thought it would. Although it does make the camera a bit bulkier. Kind of makes it look and feel like a D3. It takes some time getting used to using the button, dial and thumb wheel.
4 Stars Likin’ it so far
I’ve had now four dslr’s (Canon XT, 30D, 40D and Nikon D300) and only the first two were gripped. I really didn’t use the grips and they would really get in the way when “bagging” my camera. Plus, I bought one of those camdapters, so I didn’t need the grip to hook up my hand strap. The 10% of the time I shot portrait didn’t really bother me, so moving the hand up top was no big deal.
Till I shot a wedding.
I bought the MB-D10 shortly after. It’s built well, fits perfectly (unlike the one for my 30D) and works excellent. Well, except for one thing, but I’ll get to that.
Pluses: Better multi-controller, second AF button and shutter button, more battery life, better balance with heavy lenses. As compared to the Canon grip, it’s smaller, too.
Cons: Shutter button is way sensitive (no gap between half-press and full-press), heavy, same issue in bagging the camera. As compared to the Canon grip, the fact that it doesn’t replace the internal battery means you might have to remove/replace the grip just to change batteries. In practice, that’s not really any kind of problem as the D300 battery lasts for around 1000 shots!
I love using a gripped body. Just feels better balanced, especially with a 28-70 or 70-300 out front. It will, however, weigh on your neck a bit more. The grip is well-built, but that means it adds some weight. I love having the portrait shutter button, but I do find (and have seen other reviews saying the same) the shutter button to be ultra sensitive. Since I use the AF-On button for AF, no problem there, but sometimes it fires before VR gets up and running fully.
I’m torn between liking the size and shape and wishing it went up into the grip of the body. I like the size, it fits into a bag alone easier, but it means you still have a battery in the grip of the body, which means if the grip battery dies and it uses the body battery (or if you select to use the body battery first), you must remove the grip to get at your body battery. A trade-off to be sure.
Personally, the pros outweigh the cons. I’ll be keeping this grip. Plus it will migrate to a D700 when/if I finally get one!
4 Stars Excellent conditions, but not compete
The grip is in excellent conditions and work ok, but are missing some items, that was present in the original package.
Items missing:
MS-D10EN holder for EN-EL3 batteries;
Contact cap;
Holder case.
5 Stars Another GREAT accessory for someone on the go
When I bought my D700 I also purchased the MB-D10. I’m from the film camera days and learned the value of these battery packs are two-fold. First, it’s another place to pack more power. Second, it provides a second shutter release when you’re shooting vertically. Because the MB-D10 is made for the D300 and D700, it also offers a second set of main and sub-command dials conveniently located near the second shutter release, making vertical shots easier on the photographer. With this accessory, I can spend more time looking through the viewfinder and not having to look at the camera back. The MB-D10 is nice because it accommodates different types of batteries, although I prefer to work with multiple EN-EL3e batteries. But it’s always nice to know you can throw in some AA batteries in a pinch!
5 Stars Just works right!
This adds great balance and handling to the D300S, esp. with larger or longer lenses. Costs much more than the cheap clones, but it just works right. Fits perfectly, no flex, no squeak. Just use the battery in here, forget taking it on and off to access a battery in the camera itself; carry the spare battery in your pocket or camera bag.
If you depend on your gear on the job, then don’t skimp on the accessories. Use the real thing. Something cheaper suddenly becomes lots more expensive if it fails when you need it.

5 Stars As announced
It will let me shoot hundreds, if not thousands of photos before recharge time. I’m not a heavy shooter, but I carry two of these and swap them just so they’ll last longer.
Stick with original.
5 Stars Digital camera battery
What can I say its a battery whose main job is to store power to run my device. I charged it up and it held the charge so it seems to work great.
Thank you
3 Stars MRS
Ok I couldn’t find a way to contact you so…
I think giving a shipping range of July 6 to July 21 is lame. It was be nice if you could get it to me before July 7 cuz thats when I need it. If not I’ll cancel my order.
Thanks
Mary
5 Stars Works as expected.
I bought this as a spare battery for my Nikon D60, as it is always recommended to have a spare. The battery worked well as expected. If yo are an amateur, or a serious photographer, a spare or two is always a must. I would recommend this product.
5 Stars Great battery!
Great battery…charges quickly and lasts for an extremely long time even when used for lengthy playback and editing. Also works for the D60 which is the camera I own.

5 Stars Very much needed…
If you are going to do any type of shooting from a tripod then this is a must have. Simple to connect easy to use.
5 Stars classic and easy to use.
This small part works well with Nikon D80 camera.
When I took pictures for fireworks in Memorial Day night, it enabled me take pictures and enjoy the fireworks at the same time.
I recommend strongly to have one!
I have ML-L3 remote wireless too, but it only works well in front of camera.
4 Stars It works well enough
It is, as several have mentioned, difficult to plug into the camera all the way. It is a tiny, awkward connection that requires nimble fingers. Also, it is too easy to slide the shutter lock inadvertently. With either the connection or lock even invisibly out of place, the unit will not work.
However, once all is snug, it works perfectly.
It would be nice if the Nikon remotes were a little more generic, and fit more than a couple of models.
4 Stars Good timed exposure tool
This has two main advantages over the cordless remote: you can stand anywhere you want within the cord’s limit, and you can use the shutter release lock to hold the exposure without tiring your thumb.
However, the lock can be accidentally engaged if you have fat thumbs like me, so it’s worth being careful. It’s also worth noting that connecting the cable can jolt an already framed shot, as it takes some oomph to push it in.
Overall, a well constructed unit, but be careful with the shutter release lock.
4 Stars Remote cord for Nikon D80 Digital SLR Camera
Thie device is small enough to carry in your picket or any carry bag without taking up much space. The only drawback to this device is that for low light situations, such as shooting fireworks or places where flash is not allowed, it malfunctions, meaning that it don’t release the shutter. The other drawback, which is not really a big issue, is that it don’t allow you to do any continous shooting.

5 Stars Wonderful Case
wonderful product! Took this on my European vacation and it was nice to be able to keep the camera around my neck and still have it protected. Also, I could easily put the camera into my bag without it getting scratched by the things inside the bag.
4 Stars Exactly what was needed
This case was the perfect one for my D90. Enough padding to keep it safe when tossed around, but not enough try dropping. Nothing fancy about it, just something to keep it safe when stored or taking on a trip.
5 Stars Perfet for my Nikon D60
Perfect for my Nikon D60, nice soft case keeps the camera safe when you are not using it…
5 Stars This is a great case for D90
This is a great case for D90. I am using this with D90 coupled with the 18-105mm kit lens. The camera fits in this perfectly without any issues. This case provides basic protection from dust and scratches and in no way can it protect the camera if its dropped.
The leather is soft and feels nice. The cap of the case holds by a velcro but you can fasten the camera by a button which holds the camera strap to the case.
Again…it provides basic support to the camera but not for rugged use. Should use this coupled with a backpack for that kind of protection.
Would definitely recommend it.
2 Stars Design OK, happier with previous Nikon SLR cases
I have had previous Nikon cases with screw-on form fitting specifically for the model, but this one is a disappointment compared to past Nikon cases. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is not that form fitting for my Nikon D80. The case has a small, thin strap which snaps to the camera. This small strap is very weak and if you take the case off and let it hang on the camera, it snaps off easily. My other Nikon cases would easily slide off and on with a secure mechanism (screw bottom), with no fear of losing or falling off by a simple snap. I was on vacation and it fell off when I did not immediately put the camera back in the case and did not know this until a stranger had picked it up for me. For this reason I am only giving it 2 stars. If there were a more secure strap to hold the case onto the camera strap, I would give it a higher rating. Please be aware of this feature when you are considering this case.
