5 Stars Very much needed…
If you are going to do any type of shooting from a tripod then this is a must have. Simple to connect easy to use.
5 Stars classic and easy to use.
This small part works well with Nikon D80 camera.
When I took pictures for fireworks in Memorial Day night, it enabled me take pictures and enjoy the fireworks at the same time.
I recommend strongly to have one!
I have ML-L3 remote wireless too, but it only works well in front of camera.
4 Stars It works well enough
It is, as several have mentioned, difficult to plug into the camera all the way. It is a tiny, awkward connection that requires nimble fingers. Also, it is too easy to slide the shutter lock inadvertently. With either the connection or lock even invisibly out of place, the unit will not work.
However, once all is snug, it works perfectly.
It would be nice if the Nikon remotes were a little more generic, and fit more than a couple of models.
4 Stars Good timed exposure tool
This has two main advantages over the cordless remote: you can stand anywhere you want within the cord’s limit, and you can use the shutter release lock to hold the exposure without tiring your thumb.
However, the lock can be accidentally engaged if you have fat thumbs like me, so it’s worth being careful. It’s also worth noting that connecting the cable can jolt an already framed shot, as it takes some oomph to push it in.
Overall, a well constructed unit, but be careful with the shutter release lock.
4 Stars Remote cord for Nikon D80 Digital SLR Camera
Thie device is small enough to carry in your picket or any carry bag without taking up much space. The only drawback to this device is that for low light situations, such as shooting fireworks or places where flash is not allowed, it malfunctions, meaning that it don’t release the shutter. The other drawback, which is not really a big issue, is that it don’t allow you to do any continous shooting.

This wireless radio-controlled shutter release has a 300ft range with penetration through walls and allows selection of 1 to 16 channels to reduce RF interference. Supports partial shutter/AF & AE, continuous drive and bulb mode; bi-color LED on transmitter indicates partial and full shutter. Tiny receiver with power switch and auto power save, including 2 diagnostic LEDs: red for power on/off, and bi-color reflects transmitter action. Batteries included, with life of about 20,000 actions; transmitter battery: 23A (12V Alkaline); receiver battery: CR-2 (3V lithium). This model works with Nikon KODAK and FUJI SLR digital cameras, including Nikon D700, D300, D200, D3, D2, D2H, D2Hs, D2X, D1, D1h, D1x, Nikon D100 (only in combination with the MB-D100 multi-functional battery pack), KODAK DCS Pro 14n, DCS620,; Nikon Film SLR F6, F5, F100, F90, F90x, N90, N90x, and FUJI S3, S5, UVIR. Replacement batteries available, search for “Wireless Shutter Release Replacement Battery Kit.”

4 Stars Works as described but needs quality refinement
The product works as described. It would be nice if the buttons were of higher quality with some dust and moisture sealing, and the feel of them and the case is certainly cheap. Would also be nice if the pull out antennae of the transmitter was fully recessed so as not get caught on things. Also opening the battery tray of the receiver requires a screw driver when intended for a finger because the design has an attachment right where the finger needs to go. I also wish the use for bulb or other functions were a separate button or switch instead of the timed and sequence of the same button as that is hard to remember each time I need that to use that function. The fit of the cable connection to the camera is good (Nikon D700) and the product works as described quite well. No issues with operation, just wish the feel and use of the product were higher quality and also the product was smaller. But works fine.
4 Stars It works well
Wireless triggers can easily run well over $200. I’ve gone cheap a few times in the past and get burned about half the time. So I flipped a coin again and picked up this unit. And to be honest, it’s made me very happy.
Simply put, it works.
The unit has a good feel, the dip switches are easy enough to access and inset enough to not get bumped accidentally. The button requires enough pressure to avoid any accidental clicks.
My only complaint is the receiver’s auto-shutoff time. Sit idle long enough and it goes to sleep. The problem is that the exact amount of time seems to vary a bit. I’ve had nights when it went to sleep in less than 60 seconds, and other times when it seems to sit waiting and ready for nearly 20 minutes. But other than that, this is definitely worth the money.
3 Stars Not as professional as it appears
Right up front: This item arrived (on time) in a cheap Chinese laden flimsy box, something you would expect to find fireworks in. It arrived with a battery; however this battery had “NG” marked on it with a black sharpy and they were right, it was “No Good.” I had to go out and buy a battery, CR2. Its construction is of thin plastic and resembles the workmanship of a Child’s toy rather than photographic equipment. That said, it now works fine on my Nikon D700 with 105 mm 2.8 VR lens. It auto focuses and fires without any issues. I just get the impression it is quickly put together in a Hong Kong sweat house and its reliability may not be for any extended time. We shall see. So Far, so good. Cpt. Jarvis
5 Stars Wireless shutter release
Works as advertise. I have a Nikon D200 that I will use the shutter release on. I tested all of the features and the range and it worked perfectly. This is a bargain.
4 Stars it works just fine
This is good wireless with great value for money.
I would say that the only concern that I have with it, is the feel that it is not original, but as a function; it really work well.

2 Stars Use some common sense, please!
To engineer a remote that is SO small, with no way of attaching it to anything, as not to lose it, is short-sighted and inane. To further add to the annoyance, one cannot, according to the instructions, replace the battery, but, must return it to the manufacturer. Please!
2 Stars No Autofocus
It is ok for studio type work, I find it anoying bacause of the inability to autofocus and as someone commented before… it defeats the purpose of having it, if you have to go back and manually focus the camera. It would be awesome if it did autofocus.
4 Stars Pentax remote
I have another wired remote which I use when I use a tripod, but I wanted one that would fit in the base of my Pentax K-20. This one works perfectly and the price was right. I was also shipped quickly. My only negative comment is that I wish the zoom worked with the remote.
5 Stars Pentax Remote Control for Pentax Digital Cameras
The remote works as it is supposed to. It is very effective for taking group or family photos that require you to be present. It is a lot easier than setting the self timer and then tripping over the dog! It is a fairly robust unit, but running it through the washing machine will cause it to stop working. It is so small that it is easily placed into a shirt pocket and forgotten! Contrary to another review, I was able to replace the battery with one from Radio Shack. It still is working fine.
5 Stars Such a small and cool remote for a Camera
As all the purchases I have made on Amazon, it was so perfectly handled and received on time. The product came perfect and it works great.

These new remote releases from Opteka allows the camera to be released from a distance. All electronic, just plug-in and use. Has a momentary release, as well as a locking position for time releases. Includes a 1 Year Warranty from Opteka.

4 Stars Opteka remote shutter release for Olympus sp-570uz
Product was as advertised and arrived as stated.
The cable is about 36″ long. It appears that the USB connector is non standard and an extension cable is not available.
The product was from 47th St Photo. An email question to them about an extension cable was not answered.
I consider this poor customer service for a small item. A major purchase would have me looking elswhere.
4 Stars Functions Well
This item functions well. Just as described. My only recommendation is that you remember to plug it all the way in. You may think that it is pluged in, but if it is not fully connected, it will not function. I found that I had to actually feel/hear a little bit of a “click” while plugging it into the camera before it would function.
5 Stars Remote for Olympus DSLR
The product worked right out of the box . I just plugged it in and could fire the Camera shutter without making any special settings. It was just what I needed ,at a real good price
5 Stars Better Than Expected
Works straight out of the box! The actual switch i recieved looked nothing like the picture on the sale page, but overall the style did not jeprodize the usability of the product! I ordered on 7/27, used standard shipping and the item wasnt supposed to arrive until 8/1-8/3, but it arrived the morning of 7/30!!! GREAT PRODUCTS AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS ISNT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BOUGHT FROM 47TH STREET AND IT WONT BE THE LAST TIME EITHER!! THANKS 47TH STREET!!
5 Stars $40 cheaper than the original, works just as well
Forget $50 cables – this thing is just as good. The plug pops into the USB jack of the camera, and controls the shutter (and video recording). The button is fairly easy to press, though could be a tad larger. The lock is there, though since the button is flush, I don’t see myself using it. The cable is fairly flexible though my only minor gripe is that the cord could be a little longer. And yes – this does work on the Olympus E-P1 for photo and video.

5 Stars Wonderful Hand Strap
Works like a charm. Soft, yet grippy. Only bad side is the anchor that screws into the base of the camera is a little bulky, but that’s probably required for it to be durable. Overall, the hand strap is a very nice, less clumsy alternative to the neck strap.
1 Star Fingers Can’t Reach Buttons!!
I bought this for use with my 40D. I was doing a lot of shooting with the camera held in one hand and a flash held in the other. The trouble was, I couldn’t really operate the camera with one hand. For example, after shooting a couple of frames, I would want to switch to playback mode and review the images. I found I couldn’t press the “play” button with the hand holding the camera. So I was left juggling the camera and the flash.
I thought that with this strap, I would be able to completely hold and operate the camera with one hand. Unfortunately when you have your hand in the strap and the camera is completely hanging off one hand, you CANNOT reach any of the buttons. The shutter release is the only thing that you can reach, and that’s awkward. The problem is the camera hangs down, leaving your thumb way above any of the buttons. If you want to press any of the buttons on the camera, you need to hold it with your other hand.
4 Stars Surprising
I was surprised how comfortable this grip strap is!
I have a Nikon D80 with a vertical grip and this product fits perfectly!
4 Stars Overall Great Hand Grip – Definately Worth the Money
This is by far my most favorite accessory for my camera. I hate having the neck strap dangling all over. This is very comfortable. A couple of things could be improved. The actual strap needs a little more reinforcement. I think the metal piece on the camera will eventually cut through the nylon before the rest of the strap will wear out. The strap could be a little wider. When it passes through the padded section, that tends to bend over on itself because the strap is very narrow. I love having the camera attached to my hand. I took the camera out in New Orleans on Bourbon Street and felt completely safe like no one would try and rip it out of my hands or cut the strap and run. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy another one when this one wears out, even without the needed changes.
4 Stars Useful, but …
It has taken a bit of getting-used-to, but I’m now pretty comfortable with this wrist grip, and would definitely recommend it. Like many other reviewers, the adjustable strap was backwards when it arrived; after fiddling with it for awhile and realizing that it wasn’t working, I pulled it out and put it back the other way, and it worked fine. My only complaint has to do with the big, clunky attachment to the tripod screw — it’s no longer possible to put my camera (a Pentax K20D) down on a flat surface. I miss the flat-bottom of my dSLR! Otherwise, this is a really useful accessory for those of us who don’t rely on the neck strap for carrying our cameras around.
