1 Star Doesn’t work
I bought one to use on my Minolta Dimage Z1 and have yet to get it to work. The problem I suspect is with the camera as the flash will fire when I touch the correct copntacts on the adaptor. I wanted to use an external flash that I already have rather than buy a new one. May just buy another camera of another brand.
4 Stars Small, cheap, effective
Sony do a lot of things write when it comes to DSLR, but that Minolta hot-shoe attachment can be a real pain when you’re working in a studio and trying to fire off a bunch of studio flashes.
The Sony answer comes at a hefty price… this version is simpler, smaller, cheaper and just as effective. Simple to use, universally accepted (so far) and small (a previous, borrowed version had cut into my cheek) this was as good a buy as I’ve made this year
3 Stars didn’t work with my flash
I was trying to use an older flash and it wouldn’t work with it. I returned it because since I had to buy a flash, I will get a minolta compatible one.
Cost me a total of $13.00 shipping because I had to pay both ways.
1 Star Doesn’t work with A100
The hot shoe appears to fit, but neither the PC terminal nor hot shoe will fire two different standard flashes. Might be OK with automated flashes, but my old Vivitar’s don’t fire.
4 Stars Works Great
The Seagull SC-5 Hotshoe adapter works just as well as the Sony/Minolta adapter. For a whole lot less money.
Processing and shipping of the item could have been a little quicker

5 Stars Good Looking, Sturdy and Functional
Compared to other Monopoles I’ve looked at online and in person, this one meets all of my requirements for a compact, sturdy, nice looking, and ultimately functional monopole. I needed something to hold my super zoom Panasonic FZ28. I shoot pictures and video at my kids sports events (football, soccer, field hockey). Many pictures I was taking at full zoom were blurry. Now, with the help of the Canon monopole, my pictures at full zoom are in focus, and video is much more stable. Couldn’t be happier. Highly Recommend this product.
5 Stars Great Helper
Have enjoyed this product very much. Adds very little weight to the camera. Easy to leave it attached and shorten it to carry to a different spot when shooting. Wonderful for helping steady the camera while my heart’s still pounding from trying to change positions!
5 Stars Good product
Really helps in stabilizing the camera during shots. Helps with holding camera during long time waiting for new shots at games.
5 Stars Excellent monopod and terrific value
I’ve been looking for a good monopod for some time now. I considered the Manfrotto models, but when I compared the features, this Canon model seemed to come out on top, or at least for my needs.
I’m a casual photographer that will use this mostly to take pictures of my kids and other family photos. This monopod is small enought that it’s very easy to bring along, or just keep in the car in the event I’ll need it. Although the camera that I have has image stability capability, I can still tell when my hand is too shakey. Using the monopod has nearly eliminated any bluriness due to camera shake.
The Canon monopod is fairly easy to use with one hand. For instance, you can loosen the mount bracket and screw it to the camera, all with one hand, while the other hand is holding the camera. The pressure brackets that keep the legs from moving are very taught and won’t come undone accidentally. The bottom of the monopod is rubber, so it doesn’t slip when used on smooth surfaces, such as wood floors, or glass tables. It’s also important to note that it won’t scuff up and sensitive surfaces.
Overall, I’m very happy with the Canon Monopod. The value and features really put it on top and has proven to be exactly what I was looking for.
4 Stars Does the job
I got this for my new DSLR. Would have preferred a quick-release mount on it, and I wish Canon had included a carrying case, but it works well and is light enough to pack or strap to my camera bag.

5 Stars Solid strap
I have a few different straps for my Nikon D40, the one the camera came with, which hurts my neck, a R-Strap which moves quite a bit and I noticed that I was most comfortable just hand holding my camera instead of leaving it on the strap. After I almost dropped it once, I decided to look into a wrist strap and I had heard a lot of good things about op/tech so I ordered it. I was very happy with the price and I am happy with the performance. It’s soft, keeps my camera safe and and I have zero complaints.
4 Stars So much relief on my neck
I’m the kind of photographer that hates having a camera strap around my neck all day. For the longest time, the routine was to take my neck strap, loop it all around my hand and arm, and simply carry the camera. This works, but I still wound find the strap getting in the way. So I switched to this Op/Tech wrist strap, and it’s like night and day. The neoprene material is very comfortable on my wrist, even for long periods of time. The snap enclosure seems more than sturdy enough to me, considering it will be a very rare occasion that I’m ever letting go of the camera for any reason. All in all, I wish i bought one of these months ago.
PROS:
+ Super-comfy neoprene material
+ Fits snug, without cutting off circulation
+ Snap enclosure is more than adequate for my concern
CONS:
- Possible weakness in terms of durability. It remains to be seen how long it will hold up in the long term
4 Stars Nice but worries me
The strap is nicely made for the price. My only concern is that it’s a bit overwhelmed by my large DSLR. I’m nervous suspending it solely by this strap. But so far after a few weeks I’ve had no real problem, so I recommend it.
5 Stars SLR Wrist Strap
Great product for lighter SLR’s. I probably wouldn’t trust it with a pricey professional workhorse, but it’s a convenient alternative to bulky straps for consumer oriented SLR’s.
5 Stars Replaces Neck Strap
Most of the time I use the wrist strap when following sports or any other type of action. The strap provides more freedom of movement (higher or lower) instead of having a dangling neck strap which can be very restrictive. This particular strap if very flexiable and most comfortable on the wrist. This strap also has a quick release feature. Highly recommended.

5 Stars Canon EW78D Lens Hood
Every lens should have a hood not only to prevent glare and lens flare but also for protection from drops and getting banged around. It’s a small price to pay for such expensive camera lenses. I highly recommend it.
5 Stars Lens hood
Nice to have specially when you are outdors – it protects the lens when getting banged around hanging from your neck. Be careful with obstruction shadows when used with a flash.
4 Stars help to remove glare!
Works as it should be. I attached it on XSi and it fits well without gap. You can attach the hood in the opposite direction for easy storage and transportation. The price is a little expensive for a plastic piece.
5 Stars Lens Hood for Canon EF 28-200mm
As beach wedding photographers, our new EF-28-300 lens did not come with this hood. It is a must have for anyone who shoots outdoors! Prevents lens flare / glare from the sun – it screws on in a snap on site and stores for travel right on the lens – just turned inward and screw on. Amazon had great prices and reliable quick delivery!
4 Stars Canon EW78D Lens Hood
This lens hood is what it has been described. The petal shape makes it more attractive.

5 Stars Wonderful Hand Strap
Works like a charm. Soft, yet grippy. Only bad side is the anchor that screws into the base of the camera is a little bulky, but that’s probably required for it to be durable. Overall, the hand strap is a very nice, less clumsy alternative to the neck strap.
1 Star Fingers Can’t Reach Buttons!!
I bought this for use with my 40D. I was doing a lot of shooting with the camera held in one hand and a flash held in the other. The trouble was, I couldn’t really operate the camera with one hand. For example, after shooting a couple of frames, I would want to switch to playback mode and review the images. I found I couldn’t press the “play” button with the hand holding the camera. So I was left juggling the camera and the flash.
I thought that with this strap, I would be able to completely hold and operate the camera with one hand. Unfortunately when you have your hand in the strap and the camera is completely hanging off one hand, you CANNOT reach any of the buttons. The shutter release is the only thing that you can reach, and that’s awkward. The problem is the camera hangs down, leaving your thumb way above any of the buttons. If you want to press any of the buttons on the camera, you need to hold it with your other hand.
4 Stars Surprising
I was surprised how comfortable this grip strap is!
I have a Nikon D80 with a vertical grip and this product fits perfectly!
4 Stars Overall Great Hand Grip – Definately Worth the Money
This is by far my most favorite accessory for my camera. I hate having the neck strap dangling all over. This is very comfortable. A couple of things could be improved. The actual strap needs a little more reinforcement. I think the metal piece on the camera will eventually cut through the nylon before the rest of the strap will wear out. The strap could be a little wider. When it passes through the padded section, that tends to bend over on itself because the strap is very narrow. I love having the camera attached to my hand. I took the camera out in New Orleans on Bourbon Street and felt completely safe like no one would try and rip it out of my hands or cut the strap and run. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy another one when this one wears out, even without the needed changes.
4 Stars Useful, but …
It has taken a bit of getting-used-to, but I’m now pretty comfortable with this wrist grip, and would definitely recommend it. Like many other reviewers, the adjustable strap was backwards when it arrived; after fiddling with it for awhile and realizing that it wasn’t working, I pulled it out and put it back the other way, and it worked fine. My only complaint has to do with the big, clunky attachment to the tripod screw — it’s no longer possible to put my camera (a Pentax K20D) down on a flat surface. I miss the flat-bottom of my dSLR! Otherwise, this is a really useful accessory for those of us who don’t rely on the neck strap for carrying our cameras around.
